Saskatchewan will permit privately owned retail of cannabis with wholesale and Licensed Producers (LPs) regulated by the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA). Private cannabis retailers will also be allowed to operate online stores. Under provincial legislation, cannabis retail stores need to be standalone operations that sell only cannabis, accessories, or ancillary items as defined by the SLGA.
The province of Saskatchewan has selected the 51 private retail operations that will operate in the province. Stores will operate in communities with 2500 or more people with special licenses granted by request.
